Abstract

Abstract. Wicaksono FB, Muhdin. 2015. Composition of tree species and standing structure of mangrove forest in the Pasarbanggi Village Rembang, Central Java. Bonorowo Wetlands 5: 55-62. The mangrove ecosystem at the Pasarbanggi village is one of the mangrove ecosystems which is quite good on the northern coast of Central Java. The tree species that can be found in this mangrove forest are Rhizophora mucronata, Rhizophora apiculata, Sonneratia alba, and Avicennia marina. Seedlings dominated by the R. mucronata with Important Value Index 175.99; similarly with saplings and trees are also dominated by R. mucronata with Important Value Index 208.2 and 183.19. Index of biodiversity (H’) in mangrove forests is relatively low, seedlings have a diversity index with a value of only 0.94, while the saplings and trees are only 0.84 and 0.75, respectively. The degradation vulnerability level on density parameters is classified as low, while on the biodiversity index parameters of classified as high and tends to degrade. Standing structure in the general shape of reverse "J" except for S. alba, that may be caused by unsuccess of regeneration.
