Effect of sweet potato extract and fish emulsion on growth of orchid plantlet Dendrobium alice-noda x Dendrobium tomie and Phalaenopsis pinlong-cinderella x Vanda tricolor on medium Vacin and Went

Effect of sweet potato extract and fish emulsion on growth of orchid plantlet Dendrobium alice-noda x Dendrobium tomie and Phalaenopsis pinlong-cinderella x Vanda tricolor on medium Vacin and Went. Biofarmasi 12: 27-39. The aim of this research was to investigate the influence of sweet potato extract, fish emulsion, and combination of fish emulsion and sweet potato extract on growth of planlet of orchid. The research was arranged in Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two factors and three replications. The first factor was sweet potato extract: 0 g/L, 150 g/L, and 300 g/L. The second factor was fish emulsion: 0 mL/L, 2 mL/L, and 4 mL/L. Data of D. alice-noda x D. tomie was analyzed by F test at 5% level, and it would be continued to Duncan’s Multiple Range Test (DMRT) at 5% level if there was significant. The result non significant data used the descriptive. Ph. pinlong-cinderella x V. tricolor planlet was analyzed by descriptive analysis. The result for D. alice-noda x D. tomie planlet showed that sweet potato extract could promote time of root growth fast, promote length and number of root. Fish emulsion effective to promote time of root growth fast. For Ph. pinlong-cinderella x V. tricolor planlet, sweet potato extract could promoted time of root growth, length of root, number of root, height of planlet, number of leaf, and weight of leaf, and fish emulsion promoted growth of planlet on number of root, height of planlet, number of leaf, and weight of leaf. The combination both of them promoted time of root growth, length of root, number of roots, height of planlet, number of leaves, length of leaf and weight of leaf of planlet Ph. pinlongcinderella x V. tricolor.
