Abstract
Trisnaningsih, Anggiani N. 2015. Resistance promising lines of functional rice brown planthopper pest and disease blast. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 1 (1): 162-166. Most people in Indonesia still consume rice as a staple food. Rice is a source of energy and consists of active components which are useful for health. Infestation of pests and disease, like brown planthopper (BPH) and blast on rice plant in the field, will cause reduction of yield. The use of resistant varieties to BPH and blast is effective to control the infestation. The objective of this study to obtain data on functional rice lines with high-yield potential which are resistant to BPH biotype 3 and 2 and blast race 033, 073, 133 and 173. This study was conducted by a screening of functional rice lines with the highyield potential to BPH and blast infestation in the laboratory and greenhouse in Muara Sub Station Bogor on planting season 2013. The result from the screening to BPH showed that: lines which were moderately resistant to Biotype 3 and 2, were 29 lines of observation (OBS) and 1 line (Aek Sibundong) Advance Yield Trial (AYT). Lines that were moderately resistant to biotype 3, were only 1 (B13257B-RS*1-5-MR-3-2-6-1-1) of OBS. Lines which were moderately resistant to biotype 2, were 2 lines AYT (B10544E-KN-73-3-
PN-2-2-3 and Ciasem) and 23 lines of OBS. There were 8 lines which were varyingly resistant to 3 races of blast. The lines were B13257B-RS*1-5-MR-8-11-8, B13257B-RS*1-5-MR-9-6-1, B13257B-RS*1-5-MR-9-7-2, B13873-5-8,B13017B-RS*1-2-5-PN-1-4-1,B11742-RS*2-3-MR-5-5-1-SI-2-PN-3-2-2,B12688D-RS*1-1-PN-1-2-4, and variety Dodokan.
