Abstract
Purba R. 2015. Ameliorant utilization on dry land increasing yield and soybean farming profits. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 1: 1483-1486. Soybean development in dry land is one of the answers to improve soybean production; however soybean yield in Banten’s dry land is still very low. One reason for the low productivity on dry land was low nutrient fertility. Ameliorant has granted an effort to increase land productivity and bolster soybean production. Assessment has been carried out to utilize ameliorant material on soybean crops in Mekarsari Village, Panimbang, Pandeglang District from March to July 2013. The assessment carried out on dry land belonging to farmers with the arrangement of ameliorant, i.e.: chicken manure, dolomite, petrogenic and patterns of farmers without giving ameliorant, each treatment was repeated seven times. Soybean varieties which used were Anjasmoro. Soybean cultivation carried out by applying the Integrated Crop Management (ICM) soybean on dry land. The study showed that the highest soybean yields obtained in the treatment of chicken manure ameliorant of 2.4 t/ha, higher than the results of farmers' treatment of 1.5 t/ha, resulting in increased soybean yield of 900 kg/ha. Profit derived from chicken manure treatment ameliorant was Rp. 8.2 million/ha or higher compared with profit farmers patterns (Rp 3,800,000/ha), or there was an increase in profit of Rp. 4,400,000/ha. Giving ameliorant on dry land can improve the yield and profit of soybean farming.
