North Kalimantan has a huge potential Border Region, which is Nunukan District adjacent to neighboring countries which have a total length of 1,020 km and a total area of 5.2 million ha or 57731.64 km2. Subdistrict Krayan is one area in Nunukan District adjacent to Sabah, Malaysia, with a population of 8742 inhabitants. The main commodities of Krayan are organic rice varieties Adan as local superior and most important source income of local residents. Bargaining position of Adan rice sold in Malaysia was still very low because of the marketing pattern was done individual and traditionally, although Certificate Geographical Indications (CGI) has been obtained in early 2012. Purification of rice Adan is considered very important, as well as improvement of cultivation technology in order to improve productivity so that the existence of these commodities are more sustainable and valuable. The purpose of this study was to provide information about the prospects for the development of high yielding varieties of rice as local Adan specific location on the border area in order to accelerate agricultural development of Nunukan District, North Kalimantan province. The research was carried out in the Sub-district of Krayan, Nunukan District, North Kalimantan Province in 2013. The data were collected and then described and analyzed qualitatively. The results showed that productivity of small white rice Adan was average 4.884 ton/ha, an increase of approximately 24%. The R/C value was 4.81 to treatment, while the R/C value of control was 4.37.
