Pressure on the sustainability of national parks continues to increase in line with the population growth. Therefore various efforts to improve the economic role of national parks are required for the welfare of communities living around the area. Goats rising are one of very potential livelihood sources for local communities around Mount Halimun Salak National Park (MHSNP) to be developed. But at present, the availability of livestock feed is decreasing. This research aimed to know the description of community livelihood and also to know the livestock feed availability around MHSNP and contribution of National Park in the provision of livestock feed for the community. This research using survey method. The Research was conducted in the villages around the area namely Cihamerang and Cipeuteuy villages. Research results showed that the communities owned goats livestock varies between 7-9 goats, with livestock feed need as much as 6-7 sacks or 180-210 kg of grass. Most of the community get the livestock feed from dry land, wet land, riverbanks, road edges and utilization zone of MHSNP. Based on undergrowth vegetation analysis it was known that only 76 % were livestock feed and the rest was weeds. However, they belong to weed species they can still be used for other purposes such as for compost and soil cover that can reduce flooding etc.
