Humaira R, Izmiarti, Zakaria IJ. 2016. Composition and community structure of zooplankton in littoral zone of Talang Lake, West Sumatra. Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 2: 55-59. Study of composition and community structure of zooplankton had been conducted in Talang Lake, Solok District, West Sumatra from April until August 2015. The research was conducted by using the survey method in five stations determined with a purposive sampling. Samples were collected from five stations in the littoral zone of the lake with a plankton net which hauled up vertically from 2-2.5 meters in depths. The results showed that in the littoral zone of Lake, it was found 9 zooplankton species with a composition Crustacea consisted of 4 species, Rotifera consisted of 3 species and Protozoa consisted of 2 species. The littoral population density average 0.92 ind./L and ranged from 0.53-1.75 ind./L. Diversity index (H') ranged from 0.57-1.35, equitability index (E) ranged from 0.26-0.61 and Sorensen similarity index ranged from 0-75%.
