Pros Sem Nas Masy Biodiv Indon 9: 53-58. Purwodadi Botanical Gardens (KRP) is an ex-situ plant conservation organization that conserves plants in Indonesia, including aquatic plants. The existence of aquatic plants in controlled quantities will create a microhabitat for fish and improve water quality. Therefore, it is important to research the phenology and characterization of seeds from aquatic plants. This study aims to determine the phenology and seed characterization of 3 aquatic plants in the Purwodadi Botanical Garden: Nelumbo nucifera, Thalia geniculata, and Ludwigia octovalvis. The observation results have identified the flowering phenology and seed morphological characterization. Flowering phenology consists of three phases; the budding phase, the blooming phase, and the flower budding phase. The seeds' morphological characterization shows the best seed viability quality at Ludwigia octovalvis (Jacq.) P.H.Raven, followed by Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn., while Thalia geniculata L. seeds did not grow.
